  • An optional, self-serve battery backup is recommended to maintain connectivity during a power outage.

Brightspeed 4G Home Internet and Voice Troubleshooting:

  • Setting up the Device:
    • Place the device in its stand.
    • Find a suitable spot for good reception – preferably near a window or in an open space. Choose a spot with plenty of air circulation; avoid closets, basements, and other closed off spaces.
    • Plug the white power cord into a wall outlet and the other end into the power port on the back of the device.
    • Plug the gray cord into the gray telephone port on the back of the device. Plug the other end of this cord into a working phone.
    • The lights change color as the device goes through the start-up process. Be patient as this can take a few minutes.
    • Check for a dial tone and make a call.
