Vacation Service — also known as seasonal service, holiday hold and snowbird billing — lets you pause your services if you're going to be away for an extended period of time. It's a better option than disconnecting your account.

With Vacation Service, you can put your Brightspeed phone and internet services on hold until you're ready to use them again. There are number of advantages to doing this. For instance, while your services are suspended:

**Pure Broadband™ High-Speed Internet customers don't pay a monthly access line charge while your service is active, but there is an access line assigned to each service address with High-Speed Internet. In order to keep that line reserved while your vacation hold is in place, 50% of the usual access line fee is charged during this time.
Important note: If you don't contact us to reactive your service within nine months after the hold began, the Vacation Service discount will be removed from your account and billing will resume at full price. However, your service itself will remain on hold until you contact us to reactivate it.

Brightspeed home phone
Note: Lifeline customers are not eligible to put your telephone service on hold. You can drop out of the assistance program and re-apply to join again after the service hold ends.
Customers with DISH or DIRECTV must contact that provider directly to place TV services on a vacation hold.
If you have a home security that relies on your phone line to transmit data to your security company, it will not work while your phone service is on hold.
